| Music & Poems #1 Tim Dermont is a musician specialized in creative remixes. This album is the first in a row of albums dedicated the remixing of audio poetry books with original compositions by Tim (a second album is also on our site). In a quite novel way, Tim Dermont has composed and arranged original soundtracks based on the inherent poems' melody. Those poems are in English and provided by www.librivox.org. They are originally in the public domain (please note that Tim Dermont's album is not). The advantage here is that the poem is heard in a consistent musical ambiance. The poem takes advantage of the music and vice versa – it all sounds nice-tasting and cool. The whole album has been engineered with 5.1 surround in mind. Incidentally, the surround mixing work done on this album makes particularly sense: while the soundtrack is mainly played on the four speakers in the room's corner, the voice comes from the front center speaker which is primarily intended for dialogs in Home Cinema specifications.
